Job summary

Transpower New Zealand seeks a senior leader to head Technical Capability to shape standards, tools and governance across Grid Development. You will lead four teams—Asset & System Information, Cost Engineering, Digital Engineering, and Engineering Standards—and set direction for scalable delivery and high-quality outcomes.

You will influence how technical decisions are governed, lift maturity, and partner across Transpower to deliver infrastructure outcomes of national significance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Head of Technical Capability role and the four teams: Asset & System Information, Cost Engineering, Digital Engineering, Engineering Standards.
• Shape standards, tools and governance to lift delivery quality at scale.
• Influence technical governance and review pathways across the organisation.
• Drive continuous improvement and practical, actionable outputs.
• Support escalation pathways and provide clear decision support.
