Overview

We are seeking an experienced Team Manager Court Libraries to lead the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective library and information services that meet the complex needs of the judiciary and wider justice sector.

The location for this role is flexible and can be agreed with the successful candidate.

Responsibilities
  • lead a team providing research, reference, and legal updates for judges and their staff
  • manage and develop library collections to meet judicial needs and support digital resources
  • provide training and support to help users get the best from library resources
  • improve services through planning, innovation, and continuous improvement
  • contribute to Judicial Libraries' leadership, strategy, and programmes, including Mātauranga Māori
  • build strong relationships with judges, colleagues, legal publishers, and law libraries
Qualifications
  • a post-graduate library or relevant professional qualification (essential).
  • experience leading teams and developing people.
  • strong expertise in library research and information services, ideally in a legal or service-oriented environment.
  • proficiency with electronic databases and online legal resources, including training delivery.
  • excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A customer-focused, innovative approach with the ability to drive continuous improvement.

Salary

The appointing salary for this role will be between $111,766 and $154,680 based on skills and experience.
