Job summary

Green by Nature is seeking a Team Manager for our Mowing Team in Henderson, West Auckland. You will lead a crew of Mower Operators, maintain a hands-on approach, and drive excellence while meeting client expectations.

The successful candidate will have leadership experience in landscaping or maintenance, a full, clean Class 1 license (manual), and be able to plan, organise and communicate with internal and external stakeholders. Role includes community-focused work and safety leadership.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in landscaping or maintenance with proven leadership.
• Ability to lead a team and make informed decisions.
• Strong planning and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Report to Operations Manager and lead the Mowing Team.
• Ensure safety, quality and client satisfaction across Henderson region.

What does a Team Manager Mowing do, you ask?

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for a team of Mower Operators that support our work across the Henderson region. As the team lead, you will maintain a hands on approach, helping build a team who are focused and driven to achieve excellence and pride in what they do while exceeding our clients expectations.

What we're looking for:

Our ideal candidate has prior experience either in landscaping and maintenance or a similar industry, showcasing proven leadership in achieving team success. You will be approachable, thrive in unexpected situations, and make informed decisions to instil confidence in your team. Other qualities and skills we are looking for include:

• High work ethic, not shy of getting on the ground to support your team
• Ability to go the extra mile for clients
• A full, clean class 1 drivers licence with the ability to drive a manual vehicle (essential)
• Top notch planning and organisational skills allowing you to manage your workload effectively
• Strong written and verbal communication skills as internal and external stakeholder engagement is a large component of this leadership role
• Lead health and safety awareness and knowledge within your team
