Mō te tūranga | About the role
- The Primary Sector Delivery team is responsible for ensuring strategic, timely, efficient and prioritised engagement with our primary sector stakeholders to help them met their regulatory obligations.
- You will be responsible for line management of Technical Advisors and Engagement staff who will work together to achieve exceptional results for Waikato’s Primary Sector.
- You will drive a culture where team members work collaboratively with our primary sector stakeholders and take a customer-centric approach in all they do.
- In this role, you will help build the capability and capacity in the primary sector and within the Waikato Regional Council to support implementation of Plan Change 1 and NES Freshwater Farm Plans.

- You have a good understanding of National and Council rules and regulations impacting the Primary Sector.
Mō ngā pūkenga | Qualifications and experience
- At least 3 years’ experience in people leadership
- A degree in environmental planning, natural resource management or physical, environmental or social sciences.
- Full Drivers Licence.
- Behaviour change, communication, or adult education qualification or experience.
- Related post graduate qualification and an understanding of Te Ao Māori is desirable.
