We’re looking for anAssociate Civil Engineer and Team Leaderto join our dedicated team in Nelson. The role will include the following

  • Lead the delivery of medium-to-large scale projects infrastructure projectsacross Aotearoa and the Pacific, including planning, proposals, budgeting, and client engagement.
  • Lead, support, and grow your team, mentoring junior engineers and fostering a positive culture as well as coaching and developing others, especially within our regional teams.
  • Help expand our presencein Nelson, Tasman, and Marlborough through strategic initiatives.
  • Contribute and provide expert technical guidance to essential projectsin transport, three waters, local government, Airports, Defence, land development, future energy, and health.
  • Build strong client relationshipsand help grow our infrastructure business.

Mōu ake | About you
Your passion, design and problem-solving mindset will be matched with a desire to work on meaningful and significant projects in a multidisciplinary business. You will also

  • Be a Chartered Engineer (in Civil) with a strong track record of delivering infrastructure projects
  • Have either a strong roading transport background or a general civils and stormwater background, or both!
  • Have experience in leading projects and interacting with clients in infrastructure projects (transport, general civils or stormwater)
  • Have experience using design packages such as Civil 3D, Open Roads Designer, or 12D.
  • Bring a ‘can do’ attitude and enjoy working in teams.
  • You enjoy working with clients directly and building lasting relationships
  • Working with our clients to understand and respond to their needs before opportunities come to market.
  • Be passionate about developing yourself, learning from others and supporting the development of our junior team members.

We would love to know if you have worked on projects involving Traffic and Transportation, Walking and Cycling, Pavement and Surfacing design, Utilities and Stormwater Drainage. And last but not least, we like to have fun along the way, so a good sense of humour will hold you in good stead.
