Full time, Fixed term, Start Date: 02/02/2026, End Date: 17/12/2026 (Board funded and covering a staff member on leave)

Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher

English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Māori, The arts

We are a Y1–8 full primary school in the heart of Wellington city. We have a strong school culture and a diverse student population.

We seek two enthusiastic and caring teachers/kaiako to join our teaching team at the start of 2026. We are looking to appoint teachers who are motivated, have a passion for supporting tamariki to flourish and who want to work in a supportive, collaborative environment.

The ideal candidates for our positions will be teachers who:

  • are committed to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Te Ao Māori
  • are able to adopt an inclusive approach to teaching and learning
  • have experience of teaching children in Y2–6
  • are able to build strong relationships with ākonga, staff and whānau
  • have experience teaching in a multicultural school and meeting the needs of diverse learners’ needs including English language learners
  • have sound curriculum knowledge
  • have worked with PRIME or NumiconMaths resources
  • are currently residing in New Zealand and have experience of teaching in a classroom
  • understand that oral language is the foundation of all literacy learning.

Both positions are full-year fixed term positions. One position is suitable for a beginning teacher.

Visiting the school is strongly recommended.
