Job summary

Sacred Heart College (Auckland) invites applications for a Year 8 teacher to join our Year 7-8 Department with middle leadership responsibilities. You will be a committed and versatile educator, able to contribute across learning areas and be immersed in the wider staff and school life.

The successful applicant will support, uphold and be positively involved in the Special Character of the college and participate in the school's co-curricular programme.

Qualifications

• Pastoral experience in mentoring, guiding and supporting students is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Teach across learning areas including English, Health and PE, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Te reo Māori, Technology and The arts.
• Be immersed in the wider staff and school life and contribute to the school community.
• Support and uphold the Special Character of Sacred Heart College and participate in the co-curricular programme.

About the role

As a Year 8 teacher you may well be considering a new opportunity or teaching environment offering middle management responsibilities. We are seeking an innovative and versatile teacher to join a collegial Year 7-8 Department and be immersed in the wider staff and school life.
