We are seeking a passionate science teacher to join our Science Learning Area. The successful candidate will be able to teach senior biology to Y12 and Y13 with knowledge of the New Zealand Curriculum and NCEA. The candidate will deliver inspiring lessons, enrich the curriculum with their knowledge and experience, and be dedicated to fostering success in every student. The Science Learning Area consists of a dynamic team of seven subject specialists who collaborate to ensure consistency and high-quality teaching across all levels. The learning area is well resourced with established systems in place. All students in Wellington East take science in Y9 and Y10. We also offer junior connected courses including robotics, and Te Whare Whakapakari, bringing together the sciences and other learning areas to offer a creative junior curriculum. In Y11 we offer science in the Pacific, as well as general science. Across Y12–13 we offer physics, chemistry, biology and bio health.
