Job summary

Waitākere College is seeking an enthusiastic Physics Teacher to cover maternity leave in Terms 1 and 2, 2027. The role requires teaching Physics up to Level 3, and active participation in our science department and PD initiatives, including Relationship Based Learning (RBL).

The successful candidate will be comfortable using technology in the classroom and may contribute to extracurricular activities. Please note NZ permanent residency/work eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to teach Physics up to Level 3.
• Strong capability with classroom technology and digital tools.
• Willingness to contribute to Professional Development (PD) including Relationship Based Learning (RBL).
• Willing to participate in extracurricular activities offered by the College.

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and collaborative Physics Teacher to join our dynamic, energetic and well-resourced science department to cover for maternity leave in Terms 1 and 2, 2027. Must have the ability to teach Physics up to Level 3.

The successful candidate will have confidence and capabilities with technology, be an active member and participate in the leadership of our Professional Development Programme including Relationship Based Learning (RBL) as well as an expectation of involvement in extracurricular activities on offer at the College.
