English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Māori, The arts

Responsible to: Syndicate Leader / Deputy Principal

Key responsibilities
  • Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality English lessons across relevant year levels.
  • Support literacy development across the school.
  • Teach additional supporting subjects as required by the timetable.
  • Fulfil responsibilities as a Whānau / Pastoral Teacher, supporting the wellbeing, attendance, and progress of students.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through co-curricular activities and school events.
Key tasks
  • Develop engaging lesson plans aligned to the NZ Curriculum and NCEA.
  • Provide timely and effective feedback to students.
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Integrate digital technologies to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Maintain accurate records of assessment and achievement.
  • Provide pastoral care, guidance, and mentoring for a whānau group, liaising with parents and whānau.
