Cambridge High School (CHS) is a co-educational school, established in 1883, with a roll of approximately 1,800 students. Cambridge High School serves the interests of the community incredibly well, meeting the varied academic, trades, cultural and sporting needs of our students. Places at CHS are highly sought after with families choosing to move into town to gain access to the school.
A further opportunity exists to join our English faculty starting term 1 2026. The faculty is very collegial, collaborative, supportive, and innovative in its approach.
The ideal candidate will be open to keeping kaupapa Māori at the centre of their teaching and willing to learn and collaborate about ways to do this.
Staff wellbeing and a student-centred approach are the two driving forces of this faculty, and the ideal candidate will place strong emphasis on this in their practice. The successful applicant will enjoy having fun at work both in the classroom and in the faculty spaces.
