Job summary

Aquinas College in Tauranga invites applications for a Teacher of Digital Technologies to join the Technology Faculty. You will inspire students in programming, computer science, electronics and mechatronics, and help them develop creativity and confidence with technology.

You should be a certificated teacher with the ability to teach across Years 7–13, collaborate with colleagues, and contribute to the Catholic special character of the college.

Qualifications

• Certificated teacher with NZ practicing certificate.
• Ability to teach across Years 7–13.
• Experience in digital technologies, programming or CS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach Digital Technologies to engage students and develop creativity and problem-solving skills.
• Lead learning in programming, computer science, electronics and mechatronics.

The successful applicant will be passionate about engaging students in digital learning and developing their creativity, problem-solving skills and confidence with technology.

The ability to teach across a range of year levels is necessary, as is the enthusiasm to develop new and exciting programmes based on the requirements of the new curriculum.
