A primary school in Northland is seeking a full-time, certificated teacher for 2026 due to maternity leave. The ideal candidate should be culturally responsive, motivated, and able to engage with students in Years 1-8 while collaborating with a dedicated team. Strengths in Structured Literacy and STEAM are advantageous. This position offers an opportunity to work in a supportive educational environment.
Full time, fixed term, Start Date: 27/01/2026, End Date: 17/12/2026 (Maternity leave).

Subjects: English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Māori, The arts
Due to one of our staff going on maternity, we are looking for a culturally responsive, reflective, positive and highly motivated teacher to join our kura for 2026 to work alongside a dedicated and passionate team in our junior school.
Applicants should have a sound understanding of the NZC and be committed to undergoing PLD around the refresh. They must have the ability to work collaboratively and place a high emphasis on building relationships with our tamariki and their whānau, as our kura utilises Relationships First principles to guide our kaupapa and pedagogy. Our tamariki attain high standards of achievement and we actively look at ways to extend those through our Inquiry learning.
Strengths in Structured Literacy, Inquiry Learning and STEAM would be advantageous.
