Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher

Subjects: English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Māori, The arts

About the role

Due to one of our staff going on maternity, we are looking for a culturally responsive, reflective, positive and highly motivated teacher to join our kura for 2026 to work alongside a dedicated and passionate team in our junior school.

What we’re looking for

Applicants should have a sound understanding of the NZC and be committed to undergoing PLD around the refresh. They must have the ability to work collaboratively and place a high emphasis on building relationships with our tamariki and their whānau, as our kura utilises Relationships First principles to guide our kaupapa and pedagogy. Our tamariki attain high standards of achievement and we actively look at ways to extend those through our Inquiry learning.

Strengths in Structured Literacy, Inquiry Learning and STEAM would be advantageous.
