Health and physical education

We are a dynamic, multicultural school in Upper Hutt, seeking a health and PE teacher who has a passion for learning, a love of the HPE curriculum and a real interest in our local community. Heretaunga College has excellent sports and recreational facilities and the HPE department is an exciting, forward-thinking group of teachers who are constantly involved in school wide curriculum development and innovative pedagogy advancement.

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic teacher who has a keen interest and passion for the holistic development of our ākonga. This includes supporting ākonga in co-curricular activities and sports teams.

Applicants must hold a current NZ practising Certificate. Experience in teaching the NZ Curriculum is essential. Beginning teachers are encouraged to apply. If qualified overseas, please provide your NZQA International Qualifications certification with your application.
