A primary education institution in Northland is seeking a motivated teacher for 2026. The ideal candidate will be culturally responsive and have strengths in Structured Literacy, Inquiry Learning, and STEAM. Responsibilities include working collaboratively within a passionate team to achieve high standards of student achievement through innovative teaching practices.
Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher
English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Māori, The arts
We are looking for a culturally responsive, reflective, positive and highly motivated teacher to join our kura for 2026 to work alongside a dedicated and passionate team. Year levels are negotiable.
Applicants should have a sound understanding of the NZC and be committed to undergoing PLD around the refresh. They must have the ability to work collaboratively and place a high emphasis on building relationships with our tamariki and their whānau, as our kura utilises Relationships First principles to guide our kaupapa and pedagogy. Our tamariki attain high standards of achievement and we actively look at ways to extend those through our Inquiry learning.
Strengths in Structured Literacy, Inquiry Learning and STEAM would be advantageous.
