Job summary

Stats NZ is seeking an intermediate systems engineer/analyst developer to work within Technology Services Analytics. You’ll help deliver safe, reliable, and scalable services, supporting both BAU and project work while protecting system and data integrity.

You’ll contribute to automation, governance, and continuous improvement, with a focus on IaC, policies, and optimal performance across Windows/Linux environments.

Qualifications

• Experience managing complex distributed systems in always-available environments.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, logging and capacity planning.
• Familiarity with Python, Bash/PowerShell scripting and code analysis tools.
• Experience with Terraform, Azure DevOps and Azure infrastructure templating.

You might be an intermediate systems engineer who enjoys programming, or an analyst developer keen to build on your systems engineering experience.

You’ll be welcomed into Technology Services Analytics, reporting to the Manager – Technology Delivery. Together with analyst developers and systems engineers, you’ll help deliver safe, reliable, and scalable services, supporting both BAU and project work while protecting system and data integrity.

Starting salary for this position:$84,027- $113,683+kiwisaver
