Overview

Grada Recruitment have partnered with a fast-growing land development consultancy to recruit a Survey Technician. This consultancy is on a strong growth trajectory, working across subdivisions, greenfield developments, and a variety of land development projects. The team prides itself on delivering end-to-end surveying services, where staff gain exposure to every stage of a project rather than being pigeonholed into one part of the process. About the Role

You’ll step in as a Survey Technician with a primary focus on field work, supporting a growing pipeline of projects. This role will give you ownership and visibility across entire projects – from planning and coordination through to delivery. With the business scaling, there’s scope to step into a 2IC role, working alongside and eventually leading a team of 4–5 surveyors.

Duties
  • Carry out surveying fieldwork across subdivisions, greenfield, and land development projects
  • Coordinate and execute projects from start to finish, working independently and autonomously
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements
  • Work closely with surveyors, engineers, and clients to deliver results
Qualifications
  • 2–3 years’ experience in surveying or related fieldwork (minimum)
  • Strong problem-solving ability and initiative – able to work without close supervision
  • Greenfield or subdivision project experience ideal
  • Must have current NZ working rights
  • Tertiary qualification in surveying or a diploma advantageous
