Overview

Looking to earn extra income over the Christmas period? This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact while boosting your earnings during the festive season!

We’re currently hiring for the following workdays / hours: Mondays to Fridays and every second weekend (extra weekends available). Option of morning or afternoon shifts available. This is a fixed-term position, commencing 1 December 2025 and ending on 1 February 2026.

About the Role

Each Tangata will have individual care requirements, and you will support them with all elements of daily living. No qualifications or prior experience are required, as we provide comprehensive training to ensure all Kaiāwhina | Support Workers are equipped with the skills and knowledge they need.

  • Be intuitive and responsive to people's feelings and needs.
  • Own a smartphone.
  • The right to work in New Zealand.
  • Full or restricted driver’s license.
Training and Employment Details
  • Training: Paid training. Our Kaiāwhina Skills Framework training takes place during your first two weeks of employment and is a mix of practical training, online self-directed learning, and working with a buddy trainer.
  • Availability: You must be available to work statutory holidays and to attend two weeks of paid training starting from either 24 November or 8 December.
  • Pay: $1.00 per hour extra in your pay for weekend work.
