HealthCare NZ is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to assist clients in Whangamata during the Christmas and New Year period. You will provide practical and emotional support, helping clients achieve their goals and maintain independence.

key responsibilities include meal prep, personal care, community outings, and home management. A valid NZ driver’s licence and reliable transport are preferred, with full training and benefits provided.

What You’ll Do:

As a Support Worker, you’ll help clients achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives through practical and emotional support. Tasks may include:

• Meal preparation
• Community outings and integration
• Medication support
• Personal care (showering, toileting, etc.)
• Bowel cares,Manual handling, and hoist transfers
• Home management tasks

What We’re Looking For:

• A positive attitude and a genuine desire to help others
• Previous healthcare or caregiving experience (preferred but not essential)
• Great communication skills and flexibility to work alternate weekends
• Healthcare qualifications (advantageous)
• Full NZ driver’s licence and reliable transport (most roles)

Applicants must have the right to work in New Zealand and be willing to undergo police vetting and other checks.
