HealthCare NZ in Auckland Central is seeking a compassionate Support Worker for the Christmas period. This casual role covers holiday shifts with guaranteed hours and travel allowance.

You will provide practical and emotional support to clients, helping them achieve goals and live fulfilling lives. Responsibilities include meal prep, outings, medication support and personal care, with a focus on dignity and safety.

Formación

• Availability during Holiday season is mandatory.
• Healthcare or caregiving experience preferred but not essential.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Full NZ driver’s licence and reliable transport.

What You’ll Do:

As aSupport Worker, you’ll help clients achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives through practical and emotional support. Tasks may include:

• Meal preparation


• Community outings and integration


• Medication support


• Personal care (showering, toileting, etc.)


• Bowel cares,Manual handling, and hoist transfers

What We’re Looking For:

• A positive attitude and a genuine desire to help others


• Previous healthcare or caregiving experience (preferred but not essential)


• Great communication skills and flexibility to work alternate weekends


• Healthcare qualifications (advantageous)


• Full NZ driver’s licence and reliable transport (most roles)
