Job summary

A leading disability service provider in Hamilton is seeking an experienced support worker. This permanent full-time position requires working with clients with complex needs and supporting them in their community. You will need to have previous experience in caregiving, a calm nature, and a full NZ driver's license. The role offers an hourly rate of $23.84 - $29.10, depending on qualifications, along with support for professional development and long service leave benefits.

Matamata: Experienced support worker required, preferably living locally and having connections to the community. Permanent full-time position, including weekends and sleepovers, with the requirement to work alternate weekends.

IDEA Services supports people with intellectual disabilities to enjoy great lives at home and in their community. As a Support Worker, you will support clients with complex needs, manage risk, ensure safety, and provide individual care throughout the night. Previous experience in the disability sector or aged care is preferred.

  • Previous experience in caregiving or providing personal care for adults.
  • A calm nature and confidence to work with challenging behaviors.
  • Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and sleepover shifts.
  • Proficiency in using computers and tablets daily.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Physical fitness to provide necessary physical support.
  • Full NZ driver's license.
