About the Role

Mō te tūranga | About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate, resilient, and experienced Support Worker to join our dedicated team in supporting Andrew to live his best life. Andrew, who lives in Kairos Service located in Westmorland, is a social man in his late 40s and will be celebrating his 50th next year! Andrew loves to have a good laugh with his friends and partner. He also enjoys swimming at the local pool, participating in community and Hōhepa events, and going out for bike rides.

This is a specialised role requiring a person-centred approach and a strong commitment to upholding dignity, safety, and positive behavioural support. The role involves supporting Andrew in his daily routines, building positive relationships, and assisting him to maintain a healthy and respectful relationship with his long-term partner of 2 years. Additionally, you will help him build and maintain safe and positive relationships in the wider community.

This position's salary scale is set by pay equity and dependant on qualification level, pays between $23.50 and $29.10 per hour.

  • Wednesday and Friday 10am to 4pm
