Job summary

HealthCare NZ in Dunedin is seeking a Support Worker to assist clients in living independently at home and in the community. You will work 7.30am–6.30pm, Monday to Sunday, with flexibility to travel around the area, following a care plan to provide practical and emotional support.

You will help clients achieve goals through activities like meal prep, outings, personal care and medication support, in a dedicated team from New Zealand's largest community healthcare provider.

• Previous healthcare or care‑giving experience would be advantageous
• Healthcare qualifications are advantageous
• Most positions require a full NZ drivers' licence and your own reliable transport

We are currently seeking candidates in Dunedin who are available to work Monday to Sunday between 7.30am to 6.30pm and flexible to travel around.

What does a Support Worker do?

As part of a wider team, you will assist our clients to live as independently as possible, within their homes and community. You will help our clients to achieve their goals and reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support. Responsibilities can be varied and you will follow a care plan, which may include some or all of the below:

• Meal preparation
• Community outings and integration
• Giving medication
• Personal cares (showering, toileting etc)
• Home management
