Job summary

Taranaki Regional Council is seeking a Support Services Administrator to work within the Administration and Logistics team, delivering front-line services to internal and external customers with a focus on procurement and logistics. You will contribute to reception coverage during leaves and help coordinate vendor relationships and ICT tools.

The ideal candidate has strong communication, multitasking ability and a customer-focused mindset, with experience in procurement and working with diverse

Qualifications

  • Experience building and maintaining effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Level 2 NCEA qualification is required.
  • Experience in procurement, vendor relationships and Government Electronic Tendering Systems is desirable.
  • Friendly, can-do attitude and strong people skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong multitasking skills with focus on completing tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Provide front-line services to internal and external customers with emphasis on procurement and logistics support.
  • Provide reception support during leave periods and breaks.
  • Engage meaningfully with iwi/hapū and diverse stakeholders, requiring excellent communication and cultural awareness.

Mōtetūnga| About the role

The Support Services Administratoris responsible forworking collaboratively and cohesively within the Administration and Logistics team toprovidea range offront lineservices to internal and external customers, with an emphasis on procurement andlogisticssupport whilst also providing support to reception during leave periods and breaks.

With a strong customer focus and a flexible, can-do attitude, the ideal candidate will be multi-skilled, proactive, and ready to contribute wherever needed. The role also involves meaningful engagement with iwi/hapū and a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, requiring excellent communication skills and cultural awareness.
