Job Title: Supply Teacher
Location: Christchurch, Dorset
Salary: £94 to £140 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate or September 2025

GSL Education are welcoming applications for a full-time Supply Teacher to work within a mainstream primary school in Christchurch, Dorset. This role is available for an immediate or September start and offers the ideal balance of professional fulfilment and personal flexibility.

About the Role:

As a Supply Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons, maintaining classroom discipline, and ensuring continuity of learning in the absence of regular teaching staff. You’ll work with pupils across various primary year groups, contributing to a positive and engaging learning environment.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and teach lessons as set by the class teacher or department.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
• Manage classroom behaviour in accordance with school policies.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding student progress.
• Support students' academic and emotional development.

Requirements:

• Previous classroom experience is essential. This role is well-suited to qualified teachers, retired educators, or those looking to return to teaching.
• Confident in covering different subjects and year groups across the primary curriculum.
• Strong classroom control skills with the ability to maintain a focused learning environment.
• Recent graduates with substantial classroom experience and a desire to enter teaching are also encouraged to apply.
• Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
