At Te Mātāpuna Fonterra, we want everyone to feel they can be themselves.

Whether you're early in your career or ready for your next step, Fonterra offers a unique opportunity to grow with a global dairy co-operative that values care, collaboration, and contribution.

Owned by New Zealand dairy farmers and supported by a dedicated team, we are all working together to create a better future. Imagine tomorrow with us, where your career can grow, and you can create positive change.

About Us | Farm Source

We love Kiwi dairy farmers and know they're pretty awesome. For generations, they have relied on hard work, ingenuity, and each other to create the kind of goodness that fuels our families, connects our communities and supports our economy.

At Farm Source, the same co-operative spirit that our farmers and their communities share drives our team. We make farming easier so farmers can continue to concentrate on what they do best - producing high-quality New Zealand milk in the most sustainable way.

About the Opportunity

An opportunity to lead a high-performing team and shape the future of supply chain operations across New Zealand's rural retail network!

As the Supply Manager, you'll be at the heart of Farm Source's national supply chain, overseeing the delivery of products from 250+ vendors to 65 stores and 10 on-farm hubs. This is a pivotal leadership role where you'll manage end-to-end supply processes from article setup and pricing to replenishment, distribution, and inventory management.

You'll work closely with Farm Source Category and Retail leadership to design and optimise supply channels, ensuring products reach our customers with high availability and at the lowest total cost to serve. Your remit includes managing bulk and chemical hub operations, engaging with 3PL providers, and driving continuous improvement across systems, processes, and reporting.

About You

You're a seasoned supply chain professional with a strong grasp of operational complexity, financial acumen, and stakeholder engagement. You thrive in dynamic environments and bring a strategic mindset to everything you do from planning and budgeting to supplier management and process optimisation.

Ideal candidates will bring experience in the following areas:

  • Experience in production planning, procurement, and contract management.
  • Building strong relationships with suppliers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities and a drive for results.
  • Passionate about sustainability and eager to lead initiatives that make a real impact.
  • Confident navigating complex agreements and ensuring compliance with procurement policies.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and work effectively across all levels of the organisation.

At Fonterra, our values of Good Together, Better Every Day, and Every Drop Counts, are for everyone - no matter your background, identify or experience. These values guide us in delivering exceptional outcomes for our farmers, customers, communities, and each other.

We care for our people globally. Our comprehensive benefits support your well-being, development, and work-life balance:

  • Fair and equitable pay.
  • Health and well-being programs (medical, mental health support).
  • Professional development opportunities.
  • Career growth support.
  • Work-life balance options (flexible/hybrid working where possible).
  • Employee recognition.
  • Support for community involvement and cultural connection.
