Te Tūranga – About the role

As a Safety & Wellbeing Specialist you’ll play a key role in shaping a proactive safety culture across our Distribution Centre. You\'ll support strategic initiatives, coach teams, and help drive continuous improvement in health, safety, and wellbeing. You’ll also:

  • Support the delivery of FSNI’s Safety and Wellbeing strategy and annual tactical plans within the DC.
  • Lead and assist with audits, incident investigations, and corrective actions to maintain compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with Training Coordinators and contribute towards training for new and existing staff
  • Coach and mentor DC teams and leaders on hazard management, incident reporting, and safety systems.
  • Drive safety-related training initiatives and wellbeing services for team members across all sites
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to embed best-practice safety processes and systems.
  • Monitor and report on key safety, wellbeing, and injury management metrics to inform decision-making.
  • Actively contribute to safety committees and foster a positive, engaged safety culture throughout the supply chain.
  • The roster for this role is Monday to Friday 10pm to 6:30am

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • Experience working in a complex supply chain network
  • Relationship building and strategic decision-making skills
  • Strong organisational skills in order to manage multiple priorities and complete data inputs or updates accurately and in a timely manner
  • Be a trusted contributor to the UNI Ambient entire leadership group across all functions and influence decision-making for the best business outcomes
  • Strong safety software systems and process knowledge
