Job description

In this role, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of inventory within our Auckland-based organization.

Your expertise in supply chain management and inventory control will directly contribute to the company’s ability to provide exceptional service to our clients while optimizing costs and maintaining regulatory compliance. As a key leader in our team, your insights and problem-solving skills will drive process improvements and operational excellence, making a lasting impact on the company’s growth and success.

This is a permanent position offering a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours of work per week, with an hourly rate ranging from $24 to $24, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Tasks will include:

  1. Monitoring storage and distribution policies, procedures, and IT tools, investigating, identifying, and implementing required changes to continually improve performance and maintain minimum costs.
  2. Training all staff to ensure requirements are met and accurate stock/product details are recorded.
  3. Maintaining correct logging of receivable details within required timeframes.
  4. Preparing fair and accurate stock reports, daily and rolling, and providing them to clients and auditors as needed.
  5. Training staff on operational requirements, policies, and inventory program use.
  6. Tracking stock movement and recording batch numbers and units of measure to show product location and status within the warehouse.
  7. Negotiating contracts with clients to manage shipment variations and maintaining communication with the CWL administrative team about any discrepancies.
  8. Responding to queries from clients and the CWL team regarding stock issues.
  9. Collaborating with the inward goods manager to meet KPIs.
  10. Attending management meetings to report on inventory issues and suggest improvements.
  11. Working with the program developer to implement and test system changes, identify bugs, and suggest enhancements.
  12. Meeting daily priorities and deadlines, maintaining up-to-date product and stock records, and ensuring proper documentation for deliveries.
  13. Verifying delivery details, including correct addresses, product information, and delivery personnel, before signing for inbound deliveries.
  14. Communicating effectively with other departments as needed.

To be successful, candidates should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply & Distribution, or a related field, or
  • At least five years of experience in Supply and Distribution Management.
