We have a fixed-term position available for the role of a Supervisor at Te Korowai, our residential reintegration service located at Rimutaka Prison in Upper Hutt for people with complex needs. Te Korowai houses up to 11 men subject to or being considered for Extended Supervision Orders.
Reporting to the Operations Lead, and working collaboratively with Probation Officers and other service providers, your key tasks will be:
Supervisors are responsible for supporting the day-to-day reintegrative needs of residents with high and complex needs. Key to the success of this role will be your ability to supervise, motivate and influence residents while working as a part of a small team with a holistic approach. In addition, your ability to always maintain clear and professional boundaries, provide practical solutions to day-to-day issues, identify risk and effectively communicate with people at all levels is essential to the success of this role.

As we are a 24/7 service, you must be able and willing to work shifts including weekends, public holidays, and nights. You will work an average of 80 hours per fortnight, consisting of 10 and 12-hour shifts.

The midpoint of the salary range is $67,902. With the full salary range for this role being $65,843 - $73,149. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
In recognition of the shift-work required for this role an addition shift allowance sum is paid fortnightly with your salary and an extra week of annual leave per annum is included.
