We’re looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to lead from the front and deliver good work every day on the Chatham Islands. You’ll plan and organise work safely, make sure the right people, plant and materials are in place, and keep jobs moving across your area.
This is a hands-on leadership role where safety, quality, delivery and people all matter. You’ll lead operational crews, provide clear onsite direction, and step in when needed, working closely with the client, consultant and Fulton Hogan team across roading, water and waste.
It’s also a rare chance to build a lifestyle as well as a career. The Chatham Islands offer a strong sense of community, a slower pace, and easy access to the outdoors. If you enjoy wide open spaces, a close-knit local community, and some of the best fishing and kai moana around, this place delivers. You’ll be doing meaningful work in a unique part of New Zealand where what you do really matters.
At Fulton Hogan, we genuinely care about the wellbeing of our people and giving them the tools and opportunities they need to succeed and grow with us. You’ll have access to:
At Fulton Hogan, good work is more than what we deliver. It’s how we show up, how we treat each other, and how we keep moving forward together. We’re a business that is flat, friendly and low ego. Titles matter less than ideas, and the best ideas can come from anywhere.
We take the work seriously, not ourselves. That means a relaxed, down-to-earth team culture day to day, with serious standards when it counts. We back our people to grow, take ownership and make an impact.
On the Chatham Islands, that means working closely with each other, our customers and the wider community to keep essential infrastructure moving.
If you’re open to island life or already call the Chatham Islands home, this is a chance to be part of a close-knit team doing good work in a place known for its outdoors, strong community and world-class kai moana.
Please note that the successful candidate will need to complete and pass a pre-employment medical and drug screen.
