Comvita Apiaries invites a research-focused student to join our Paengaroa internship. Based in our Apiaries team, you will explore how data architecture, information modelling, and emerging AI capabilities can strengthen evidence-based product storytelling for our premium natural health brand.

• Currently studying NZQA Level 6-10 qualification at a NZ tertiary institution.

Responsabilidades

• Investigate how product provenance, quality, sustainability, traceability, certification, and scientific evidence at each stage can be digitally connected to support trusted product claims.
• Apply data architecture and information modelling techniques to strengthen evidence-based product storytelling.
• Explore emerging AI capabilities to enhance digital assurance processes.
• Contribute to a 400-hour research project with hands-on exposure across Comvita's supply chain.

About the Internship

Please Note: This opportunity is open exclusively to students currently studying at, or have recently completed (within 12 months), a qualification at NZQA Level 6-10 from a New Zealand tertiary institution.

This research and development internship would suit a 2nd- or 3rd-year student in data science, computer science, information systems, or a related discipline, with an interest in consumer products.

Comvita’s products are supported by evidence generated across a fully vertically integrated supply chain. This project will investigate how product provenance, quality, sustainability, traceability, certification, and scientific evidence at each stage can be digitally connected to support trusted product claims. This project aims to generate new knowledge regarding the application of data architecture, information modelling, and emerging AI capabilities to strengthen evidence-based product storytelling, product trust, and future digital assurance processes.

The internship will be based in Paengaora.

Start/Finish Dates

Our internships are for 400 hours of work over your university summer break.

Start/finish dates will be set to fit around your university semester dates, but typically start mid-late November through until the end of February. (NOTE: Our business shuts down for a couple of weeks over Christmas so there will be a break in the middle of your placementover Christmas/ NewYear's).
