Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Subsea Pipeline Engineer to design, analyze, and manage subsea pipelines for offshore developments. The role covers route selection, trenching design, materials specification, and corrosion protection, with emphasis on safe, compliant execution in an offshore environment.

The candidate will perform stress analyses, fatigue studies, and flow assurance while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to support installation, commissioning, and startup activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of subsea pipeline engineering experience in Oil & Gas.
• Proficiency in Orcaflex, Caesar II or SACS for design analysis.
• Strong understanding of pipeline hydrodynamics, buckling and thermal expansion.
• Chartered Engineer status or equivalent is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze subsea pipelines, including route selection and trenching.
• Perform stress and fatigue analyses, plus flow assurance studies.
• Specify materials, coatings, and corrosion protection for pipelines.
• Oversee pipeline installation engineering and support offshore operations.
• Develop subsea pipeline integrity management strategies.
• Ensure designs comply with industry codes (API, DNV).
