Job summary

The Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) – New Zealand Food Safety is seeking a Manager, Stakeholder Engagement in Wellington to lead a small team and develop strategic engagement across NZFS and MPI. You will design engagement programmes, build relationships with industry, iwi, hapū and other partners to strengthen food safety outcomes.

Experience in public relations, corporate communications and engagement strategies is essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver an engagement strategy and annual work programme.
• Lead an engagement team across NZ Food Safety and MPI.
• Support staff to engage with a broad range of stakeholders and partners.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and Deputy Director-General.
• Design tools and programmes to enhance engagement with industry and visitors.
