Job summary

Matamata-Piako District Council seeks an experienced and forward-thinking leader to establish and head a new Business Excellence and Risk function. Reporting to the Group Manager People and Performance, you will oversee enterprise risk management, assurance, business resilience, and the Council's insurance programme, while setting the strategic direction for organisational performance and improvement.

• Senior leadership experience in enterprise risk, business excellence, or related field.
• Proven track record of organisation-wide improvement and change.
• Experience working with executives or governance groups.
• Strong people leadership and capability-building skills.
• Excellent influencing and stakeholder management skills.
