Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora in Dunedin seeks a Portfolio Manager to plan and fund community services across a portfolio of service areas, collaborating with planning and funding teams to design, procure, manage and monitor services.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' planning and funding experience across varied environments.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills to inform commissioning decisions.
• Experience managing relationships with clinicians, providers, and communities.
• Ability to design work programmes and deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Understanding of commissioning cycle and provider management oversight.

Responsibilities

• Plan and fund community services across a portfolio of service areas.
• Partner with Regional Planning, Funding and Outcomes teams to design, procure, manage and monitor services.
• Translate evidence into clear advice and oversee provider relationships and performance.
• Ensure service specifications, procurement, contracting, reporting and funding reviews.
• Apply Te Tiriti o Waitangi obligations and equity considerations in decisions.
