Department of Conservation is looking for a senior occupational health leader to shape health programmes, risk management and wellbeing initiatives across Aotearoa. You will partner with leaders, health providers, ACC and People & Culture to drive positive health outcomes and strengthen organisational capability.

Based in Christchurch (Mahaanui) or Nelson with flexible work location options across New Zealand, the role requires strategic advisory abilities and expertise in injury management,

Qualifications

• Significant experience in occupational health, workplace health advisory, rehabilitation or related field.
• Current APC as a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist or other health practitioner.
• Expertise in managing physical, psychosocial and hazardous substance health risks.
• Strong understanding of NZ health, safety, employment and privacy legislation.
• Experience with health monitoring, surveillance and risk management programmes.

Responsabilités

• Lead and continuously improve DOC's occupational health programmes, frameworks and initiatives.
• Provide expert advice on occupational health risks, health monitoring and workplace exposures.
• Support effective injury management, rehabilitation and return-to-work outcomes.
• Lead ACC accreditation activities, assurance reviews and continuous improvement programmes.
• Build organisational capability through training, guidance and stakeholder engagement.
