Job summary

NZTA | Waka Kotahi is seeking a Team Lead, Communications & Engagement to guide a high-performing team across regional programmes in Auckland/Northland. You will mentor staff while remaining hands-on delivering strategic communications and engagement advice, shaping transport outcomes.

You'll lead workload planning, build team capability, manage projects, and advise senior leaders and project teams.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading communications and/or stakeholder engagement strategy and delivery.
• Proven people leadership capability, including coaching, mentoring and developing high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and guidance to a team of Communications & Engagement professionals while remaining hands-on in delivering strategic communications and engagement advice across key regional programmes and projects.
• Lead workload planning, build team capability, ensure high-quality outputs and manage your own projects.
