The Waikato District Intelligence Unit within New Zealand Police is seeking a Lead Intelligence Analyst to support decision-makers across tactical, operational and strategic levels in Hamilton. The role requires expert analytical capability, advanced critical thinking, and a track record of coaching teams in best-practice intelligence tradecraft.

Experience in Intelligence analysis tools and methodology.
Ability to provide strategic advice to leadership.
Strong written and verbal communication for briefing diverse audiences.
Proven track record in building positive internal and external relationships.

Responsabilités

Use analytical expertise and crime science theory to analyze complex policing problems.
Manage competing priorities to deliver timely intelligence.
Provide technical guidance in analysis tools and coach junior staff.
Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Lead by example with a positive attitude towards team development.
Deliver high-standard written reports and concise verbal briefings.
Lead projects, provide peer review, and handle complex analytical issues with limited supervision.
Support senior leadership in setting strategic intelligence priorities.
