Placements24 is seeking an experienced Distribution Manager to oversee our Queenstown operations. The role focuses on optimizing distribution networks, warehouse management, and team leadership to meet market demand across the Eastern Cape region and beyond.

The ideal candidate will bring 6+ years in FMCG distribution, strong WMS knowledge, and a proven track record in cost reduction and service level improvements. Relocation support may be available for the right candidate.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in distribution and logistics management, preferably within FMCG.
• Proven track record of optimizing distribution operations and reducing costs.
• Strong knowledge of warehousing, inventory management, and transportation best practices.
• Experience with WMS and other supply chain software.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Familiarity with the logistics landscape in the Eastern Cape.
• Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Queenstown area.
• Ability to manage complex operations and a diverse workforce.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and implement efficient distribution strategies to meet business objectives.
• Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and stock control.
• Manage transportation logistics, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the distribution team, fostering a culture of performance and safety.
• Optimize distribution network design and operations to reduce costs and improve service levels.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Implement and utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant technologies.
• Monitor KPIs for distribution and logistics operations.
• Collaborate with sales, procurement, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless supply chain integration.
• Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and carriers.
