Job summary

Goodman Fielder New Zealand Limited is seeking a Commercial Finance Business Partner in Auckland. You will partner with Marketing, Sales and R&D to shape commercial strategy, lead financial modelling for innovation, and influence investment decisions that drive profitable growth.

You will translate complex data into actionable insights, manage budgeting and forecasting, and collaborate with senior leaders across the business.

Qualifications

Proven experience in Commercial Finance or Finance Business Partnering.
CA/CPA/CIMA qualification, or working towards one.
Strong commercial acumen, financial modelling and analytical skills.
Confidence influencing stakeholders, challenging thinking and building trusted relationships.
Proactive, adaptable mindset and ability to pivot quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate financial insights for non-finance stakeholders.
Advanced Excel skills and experience with SAP, BW or other reporting tools.
FMCG/manufacturing/retail/consumer goods experience desirable; Big Four experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

Partner with Marketing, Sales and R&D leaders to shape commercial strategy and investment decisions.
Lead financial modelling and business cases for innovation, new product development and growth initiatives.
Challenge assumptions and influence investment decisions to maximise profitable growth.
Translate financial data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
Lead budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis across innovation and marketing portfolios.
Evaluate and track ROI of marketing, innovation and strategic growth initiatives.
Present compelling recommendations that influence decisions and drive business performance.
Identify opportunities to improve commercial processes, reporting and decision support.
