The Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet in Wellington is seeking a Senior Advisor to join the Strategic Crisis Management Directorate. You will provide thought leadership, deliver high‑quality analytical advice, and coordinate cross‑agency responses to significant crisis events.

Qualificações

• Proven ability to think critically and strategically, identify emerging risks, and provide clear, well‑informed advice to support decision-making.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesise complex information for senior audiences.
• Excellent communication and the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences.

Responsabilidades

• Provide thought leadership and critical analysis during ODESC activations, ensuring coordinated agency responses.
• Participate in SCMD's rotating 24/7 duty roster with timely, well-reasoned advice and coordination support.
• Design and deliver National Exercise Programme exercises to strengthen crisis preparedness.
• Build and maintain relationships across government, local authorities, academia, and international partners.
• Deliver high‑quality analytical advice through concise reports, briefings, and responses for senior officials and Ministers.
