Job summary

Compass Group New Zealand is hiring a Storeperson at Waiouru Military Camp. The role is a permanent full-time position with 40 guaranteed hours each week. You will receive, store, manage, and dispatch goods with attention to detail and a proactive health and safety mindset.

The successful candidate will maintain accurate records, support stocktakes, and work within a supportive team in a Defence environment. NZ residency or valid NZ work visa is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in storeperson, warehouse, inventory, or similar role.
• Strong administrative, organisational, and communication skills.
• Computer literacy and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual handling duties.
• Reliable team player who can also work independently.
• Willingness to complete pre-employment checks.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, process, pick, package, and dispatch stock.
• Maintain accurate warehouse, inventory, freight, and storeroom records.
• Ensure stock is stored correctly and FIFO procedures are followed.
• Assist with monthly stocktakes, order sheets, and inventory management.
• Maintain safe, clean, organised, and secure storage areas and equipment.
• Follow all food safety, manual handling, health, safety, and security procedures.

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Storeperson to join our team at Waiouru Military Camp. This is a permanent full-time position offering 40 guaranteed hours each week.

You will be responsible for receiving, storing, managing, and dispatching goods safely and efficiently. This role requires strong attention to detail, good organisational skills, and a proactive approach to workplace health and safety.

Ko o Kawenga / Your Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, process, pick, package, and dispatch stock
• Maintain accurate warehouse, inventory, freight, and storeroom records
• Ensure stock is stored correctly and FIFO procedures are consistently followed
• Assist with monthly stocktakes, order sheets, and inventory management
• Maintain safe, clean, organised, and secure storage areas and equipment
• Follow all food safety, manual handling, health, safety, and security procedures

• Previous experience in a storeperson, warehouse, inventory, or similar role
• Strong administrative, organisational, and communication skills
• Computer literacy and the ability to maintain accurate records
• Physically fit and comfortable completing manual handling duties
• A reliable team player who can also work confidently without supervision
• A flexible, hardworking approach and willingness to complete required pre-employment checks
