Job summary

Fruitfed Supplies, part of PGG Wrightson, is seeking a Store Manager for our Pukekohe store from November 2026 to September 2027. You will lead a passionate team, strengthen customer relationships, and drive strong commercial outcomes in a hands-on leadership role.

You will own store operations, inventory, compliance, staffing, and finances while building relationships with local growers and industry partners. A full NZ driver license is required and you will report to the Store Management team.

Qualifications

• Proven people leadership experience in retail, rural supplies, or related environment.
• Commercial mindset with strong sales and operational capability.
• Solid administration skills and confident communication.
• Knowledge of New Zealand’s horticulture/agriculture sectors or genuine interest.
• Full, current New Zealand driver license.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and motivate the team to deliver outstanding service and trusted technical advice.
• Own day-to-day store operations including inventory, compliance, staffing, logistics, and financial performance.
• Build relationships with local growers, farmers and industry partners to grow the business.
• Ensure regulatory and compliance requirements for agricultural and food-production inputs are met.

We’re on the lookout for an energetic and driven Store Manager to lead our Fruitfed Supplies store in Pukekohe November 2026- September 2027.

About the role

As Store Manager, you’ll take ownership of the store’s success, leading a passionate team, strengthening customer relationships, and driving strong commercial outcomes.

On any given day, you’ll be:

• Leading, coaching, and motivating your team to deliver outstanding service and trusted technical advice
• Owning the day-to-day running of the store, including inventory, compliance, staffing, logistics, and financial performance
• Building meaningful relationships with local growers, farmers, and industry partners to grow the business
• Ensuring all regulatory and compliance requirements are met for agricultural and food-production inputs

This is a hands-on leadership role with real autonomy and the chance to leave your mark.

About you

You’re a confident leader who enjoys being close to the action and building strong teams and customer relationships. You’ll bring:

• Proven people leadership experience, ideally within retail, rural supplies, or a related environment
• A commercial mindset with strong sales and operational capability
• Solid administration skills and confident communication
• Knowledge of, or genuine interest in, NewZealand’s horticulture and/or agriculture sectors
• A full, current NewZealand driver licence
