Job summary

GrainHub Ltd is seeking an experienced Mill Operator to join our Tuakau stockfeed manufacturing team. This hands-on production role requires operating and monitoring feed milling, batching and pelletising equipment and following production schedules and formulations.

You'll be comfortable around industrial machinery and motivated to grow with GrainHub, with opportunities for long-term employment, training, and development within a New Zealand-owned company.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in feed milling or similar industrial processing is necessary.
• Good mechanical aptitude and ability to understand machinery.
• Experience with pellet mills, hammer mills, mixers or batching systems is advantageous.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 25 kg.
• Reliable and safety-conscious with long-term employment intent.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor feed milling, batching and pelletising equipment.
• Follow production schedules and feed formulations accurately.
• Monitor machinery and production parameters.
• Complete production and quality records.
• Carrying out product sampling and basic quality checks.
• Loading and handling raw materials and finished products.
• Identifying machinery or production issues and assisting with troubleshooting.
• Undertaking routine plant inspections, cleaning, lubrication and preventative maintenance.
• Maintaining good housekeeping throughout the mill.
• Following GrainHub's health & safety, feed safety and quality procedures.
