Job summary

Tegel Foods Ltd. is seeking a Feedmill/Production Operator for our Takanini site. You will be part of a connected team, helping to keep operations running smoothly and to high standards. The role suits someone with experience in manufacturing, production or food processing.

This hands-on position involves weighing raw materials, batching feed, recording documentation, and maintaining cleanliness. We offer competitive hourly rates and opportunities for overtime within an eight-hour shift.

At our Feedmill, we produce high-quality feed for our operations, and we need great people to help keep things running smoothly. You'll play a key role in ensuring our product is produced efficiently, economically, and to the highest standards. It's an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in manufacturing or production.

What you'll be doing:

This is a hands‑on and varied role that includes:

• Weighing in/out of raw material trucks on arrival and departure


• Completing all required documentation accurately


• Filling mill bins


• Batching and mixing feed


• General cleaning of the mill

Hours of Work:

You'll typically work an 8-hour shift, with regular opportunities for overtime. Lunch breaks are included within your 8-hour shift and are paid. Our operational week runs from Sunday to Friday, and you will be working on a shift that typically covers:-

• Sunday - Thursday, 2pm - 10pm


• Sunday - Friday, 10pm - 6am


• Monday - Friday, 6am - 2pm

Flexibility on hours of work is essential. Please note: we operate on most public holidays, except Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

What you'll bring:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or food processing environment is required


• A forklift licence would be highly beneficial


• Commitment to wearing PPE and following hygiene protocols


• Strong focus on health and safety


• Physical fitness and the ability to lift 25kg+
