Job summary

Southern Cross Christchurch Hospital is seeking a dedicated Sterile Services Technician to join our team on a full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract covering parental leave. You will clean, inspect, assemble, sterilise, and distribute surgical instruments and equipment used across the hospital, ensuring the highest standards of quality and infection prevention.

Qualifications

• Current experience as a Sterile Services Technician or similar role.
• NZ Certificate in Sterilisation (Level 4) or equivalent.
• Solid knowledge of sterilisation practices and infection prevention.
• Excellent attention to detail in a busy environment.
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Clean, inspect, assemble, sterilise and distribute surgical instruments and equipment.
