Job summary

Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand is seeking a Qualified Sterile Sciences Technician or trainee to join the Sterile Sciences team at Wellington Regional Hospital and Kenepuru Hospital. The role focuses on decontamination, sterilisation and preparation of surgical instruments across operating theatres and wards.

Applicants should have a minimum L4 Certificate in Sterilising Technology or be enrolled as a trainee.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work rotating shifts and multi-site rosters.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate and sterilise surgical instruments for theatres, wards and departments.
• Reassemble and categorise instruments for collection and further use.
