Staff Nurse – Surgical Ward

London / The Wellington Hospital (NW8 9LE)

Contract: Permanent, full time. 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Sunday with flexible shifts to cover long days, nights and weekends based on internal rotation.

Salary: Competitive depending on experience plus 9% shift allowance.

We’re looking for a Staff Nurse to join our Surgical Inpatients team at the Wellington Hospital, currently rated “Good” by the CQC. The unit provides care for pre- and post-operative patients for a full range of specialties: plastics and breast surgeries, Colo-rectal, gynaecology, bariatric, ENT, upper GI, gynaecology, urology, vascular & general surgery.

As the Staff Nurse, you will plan, deliver and evaluate high standards of nursing care whilst working within a multidisciplinary team, supervising and directing junior staff and temporary staff. You’ll demonstrate good clinical practice at all times and be accountable for your own actions and contribute to the setting of clinical standards, policy and procedures and research-based care and other practice development initiatives.
