Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is seeking a qualified Medical Imaging Technologist to join Palmerston North Hospital in a permanent, full-time role. The MIT will rotate through General X-ray, Theatre, ED, and Mobile work within a busy teaching hospital.

You'll be part of a collaborative team of MITs and specialists, with opportunities for professional development and supervision of students. NZ registration and practising certificate are required.

• NZ registration and a current annual practising certificate.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Great time management, initiative, and adaptability.
• IV-line insertion skills (a bonus!)

Medical Imaging Technologist (MIT) Palmerston North Hospital Permanent Fulltime Join a friendly, skilled team at Palmerston North Hospital where no two days are the same. About the Role

We're looking for a qualified and experienced Medical Imaging Technologist to join our team at Palmerston North Hospital in a permanent, full-time role. This position offers a varied workload, rotating through all shifts and covering General X-Ray, Theatre, ED, and Mobiles. Experience in Interventional Radiology and/or CT is a bonus, and full site orientation will be provided. You'll be part of a collaborative team of around 60 MITs, including specialists in MRI, CT, General Imaging, Nuclear Medicine, and Sonography.

Key Responsibilities

• Performing high-quality patient examinations
• Ensuring accurate data entry and completion of exam documentation
• Upholding professional standards and health & safety practices
• Supporting MIT students with supervision as needed
