Job summary

Health New Zealand – Te Whatu Ora is seeking a qualified Medical Imaging Technologist for a permanent full-time role at Palmerston North Hospital. The position involves rotation through General X-Ray, Theatre, ED and mobiles, with Interventional Radiology/CT experience an asset.

About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Medical Imaging Technologist for a permanent full-time position within Medical Imaging, Palmerston North Hospital. The position includes rotation through all shifts and provides coverage for General X-Ray, Theatre, ED, and Mobiles. Interventional Radiology and / or CT experience would be an asset. Site specific orientation will be provided as required.

You will be joining a team of around 60 MIT's: including MRI, CT, General, NM and Sonographers.

Some of your responsibilities

• Conducting all patient examinations to a high standard
• Maintaining accurate patient data and ensuring all administrative processes are complete including paperwork for all exams.
• Practicing procedures in an ethical and professional manner, ensuring health and safety regulations are met
• Providing supervision for MIT students (as required).
